Learn Tamil the way
you actually speak it
ஒரு விதை விருட்சம் ஆகிறது
A seed becomes success. One word at a time, the same way it happens in real life.
Finally, a training that's not draining you
Why these classes
Most people learn Tamil words and then freeze when it's time to use them. These classes are built the other way round.
Speaking from week one
You talk in the first session, badly and happily. Grammar comes after you've used it, not before.
Spoken Tamil, not textbook Tamil
Tamil you'll actually meet day to day — family, shops, offices, temple and clinic conversations — rather than only the printed kind.
Small groups
Enough people to learn from, few enough that you get corrected in real time instead of quietly nodding.
No exam, no pass/fail
You move on when you can hold a conversation, not when a score says you should. Nobody fails a conversation class.
Choose your level
Not sure where you fit? Start one level below where you think you are — it feels faster.
Vanakkam — absolute beginner
Starting from the Tamil alphabet. No Tamil background at all.
- Tamil letters and how they sound
- Numbers, days, simple questions
- Greetings and introductions
- First full sentence by the end
Thamizh pesungal — everyday speaking
You can read slow Tamil. Now you need it to come out of your mouth.
- Present tense and past tense patterns
- Question forms people actually use
- Shop, clinic, and phone conversations
- Correcting your own common mistakes
Confidence & nuance
You get the basics. This is where it stops sounding like a textbook.
- Formal versus spoken register
- Idioms and word order that surprise you
- Listening to unedited Tamil media
- Debate, storytelling, and interviews
What you'll say in week one
A real, usable start. You'll be using these long before the grammar arrives.
Hello / good day
Thank you
My name is ...
How are you? (respectful)
I am learning to speak Tamil
How it works
No packages to decode. You start, you attend, you see whether it's working.
One free trial class
Come for a full session with no payment and no obligation. If the teaching isn't right for you, that was the whole experiment.
One session a week
Forty-five minutes, one fixed evening each week. A steady rhythm you can keep next to work and family.
Two weeks, then decide
Join for a minimum of two levels. It's the shortest honest test of whether this is working for you.
Keep going, or pause
Continue month to month. If life interrupts, pause instead of quitting and pick up where you stopped.
45-minute live session
One fixed slot each week, small group, taught live by the tutor. One flat price for the month, not per class.
Your first session
Full length, free, no card needed. The only sensible way to judge a language class.
Notes & practice
Every session's notes plus short spoken exercises to try before the next class.
Common questions
What does it cost?
RM 70 a month for one 45-minute class a week, billed monthly — not per session. Your first class is free, there's no registration fee, and if life gets busy you pause the month rather than lose it.
I can't read Tamil at all. Is this wasted on me?
No. Level 1 starts at the alphabet. Being able to read the script helps, but plenty of confident speakers never learned to write — they'll do fine.
My Tamil is limited to what I hear at home. Where do I start?
Start at Level 1 anyway. Home Tamil is usually a mix of dialects and shortcuts, and you'll fill the gaps faster than you expect.
Do the classes run online or in person?
Both. In-person sessions run locally, and the same class is available live online for anyone further out. Tell us which you prefer and we'll confirm the slot.
Can my wife and I learn together?
Please do. Family pairs in the same level are common, and couples who learn together keep each other going far more often than people who learn alone.
Come for one free class
No payment, no card, no sales pitch. Just forty-five minutes of Tamil and an honest answer at the end about whether to continue.
